The World Cup is such a big thing here, the schools dismissed classes or brought TVs into the classroom so that the students (and, more importantly, the teachers) could watch the games. At least they have their priorities straight. :^)

how funny! we see the same thing here in Guatemala. It makes us laugh to see SOO many people crowded around one t.v. We were never soccer fans before moving here but have grown to like it ourselves and find ourselves planning days around the games. crazy huh.
